SCRATCH THAT

i'm feeling creative as fock.

i lied last entry.

it comes and it goes honestly, and it comes more often than not like a porn star. last night i was up til 4 am doing a beat and writing a verse.

i think i'm going to do the OMGz shit myself. i'm the only one who gets my time schedule, who gets completely and thoroughly what the OMGz is about, and who loves every beat i deem OMG worthy.

plus the song i did yesterday pretty much fingers me the sole culprit of OMGz rifraffery.
them niggas can guest spot if they want to. nothin personal, i just know they got a lot on their plates, and im way to excited about the possiblities of this thing to let it sit while they clean it up. plus i'm only 40 % sure that they really wanna be a group with this.

plus i just work better alone.

so i got my man RES on tap, ima do some promo shotties and get the myspace page rolling, cut about 5 or 6 songs and get a buzz going. i don't have a time line for this. again, my deadlines are as spastic as my sleep schedule.

when it do what it do, consider it did, and that's all im say.

but yo.
i wrote a bad ass verse last night man. i ain't even gonna be coy, that shit was dope, and if i follow through with a couple more bars it could be epic. maybe. or wack. who knows. im just trying shit now. nothing to lose cept my job, and i wont be mad if that happens, makes my choices alot easier for the future. lol

i'm only askin the world to knuckle up for the first round. - me

ughz.

i ain't been feeling too creative.

i havent made a drop dead dope beat in like 2 or 3 weeks now.

i got my manager knocking at the proverbial door and i feel like i'm standing him up. BUT. i'm not down or depressed. it's just a slow period. i'm trying to work through some technical kinks at home (fl studio deciding to revert to demo mode TWICE in the past 2 weeks) and my beatblock, while also trying to figure out the best working environment.

my brother came over to listen to/play some beats, and my neighbor comes to my door banging on it, asking me to keep it down so she could study. i had to respect that, even though it was a saturday evening, around 6:30 pm.

ugh.

just a lil dark cloud looming, though. we'll fix it.

so a few months ago i bought a 160gb SATA drive for my computer and i have yet to install it. oh, ive tried, but for some reason it's not even recognizing that the drive is connected to the SATA header. it's pissing me off, but in a stroke of luck i also managed to get my old 60gb drive with all the old samples on it up and running. that was great, because about 60 % of the beats i sent Nate yesterday were from my old drive.

thank god for superproductive weeks past.

i really really need to get organized tho.

not just with music, but everything in my life is all over the place. the problem is, i don't know where to start or how to STAY that way. i guess the only way to figure out what works for me is to try everything until something sticks...but this crap i'm doing now is not what's good in the least.

whatever. i'm going to get myself a corkboard and an agenda, and keep better records on my outlook/pda, get an ING account or 2 and save some money, get my focus on the right things. all these side projects is gonna have to take a backseat to the beathustle til i start moving product at a higher rate than this. also i'm hella focused on a laptop. i was trying to get some investors to speed up the process, but it looks like i'm going to have to stack my own dough for this one, which is fair. bad thing is that the laptop is just the beginning of having a mobile production system.

i'm still gonna need an audio interface (a GOOD one, i hate latency like nobody's business) and at least 1 external drive for samples. probably a 250+ gig joint. this is money i ain't close to having.

*sells self on the corner*

when i get it going and good though, this beat shit is a WRAP.

until then, though...
