so, last year sometime (around december) i submitted for a spot on- and was subsequently contacted via email to participate in- the iStandard Producer's Showcase held every few months at Fluid night club in Philly.
i couldn't afford the entry fee though, so i did not participate in January's event. i told them if they could fine me a spot on their next showcase, i would do all i could to participate.
mark your calendars, march 5th (yes, my birthday) i will be showcasing my music for industry types. i'm not expecting anything big to happen with it, but should i take first place, it would be a nice addition to the slowly growing resume. we'll see.
As you all know, an official panel of industry judges will bepresent…so far some of our judges have included Sha Money XL (G-Unit),Lenny S. (VP A&R Def Jam), Conrad Dimanche (Senior VP A&R Bad Boy),Corey Smyth (CEO Blacksmith), Devo Springsteen (A&R G.O.O.D.), KKRosemund (A&R Universal), Roscoe P. Coldchain (The Neptunes artist),Bonsu (editor in chief XXL), Jerry Barrow (editor-in-chief SCRATCH)established producers EASY MOBEE, BUCKWILD, DAME GREASE, ALL-STAR,CHARLEMAGNE, AMADEUS, ROCKWILDER and many more!!!
i'ma try to make my sht dramatic so that wow factor sways them judges.
there's no money in this, so i'm basically trying to let 'em know i'm bout to be in the building. if anybody reading this cares, wish me luck.
